Peter is a professionally qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP), and Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP). His approach is integrative (including CBT) & humanistic, operating with a person-centered orientation. He completed his four-year masters training in Counselling & Psychotherapy MSc with Dublin Counselling and Therapy Centre (DCTC) and four-years Honours Degree program in Psychology & Theology BA (DCU), both in Dublin, Ireland.
Peter has experience supporting adults dealing with a range of difficulties (see below). He offers a warm, safe, confidential space where you can slow down, be heard, and explore whatever is bringing you to counselling at this time. People come to therapy for many reasons — feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, low, disconnected, or simply wanting a deeper understanding of themselves.
Peter also works with those who choose to attend counselling or psychotherapy without having a specific problem or issue, but rather because they wish to pursue their own Personal Development work in the hope of achieving more of their potential so as to live life in a more meaningful and fulfilling way. Personal empowerment and focus on the person’s inner wisdom, individual freedom, and self-responsibility are central elements in his approach.
